Cherry Point, NC has a requirement for a Nominal 70 Ton Air Cooled
Helical Rotary Chiller as stated below. This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Far Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written
solicitation will not be issued. Request for quote (RFQ)
M00146-99-Q-4014 applies and incorporated provisions and clauses are
those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-04 and Defense
Acquisition Circular 91-13. The Standard Industrial Code 5075 and the
Business Size Standard is 100 employees. This requirement is for a
Firm Fixed Priced Contract for the following Trane Chiller or similar:
Item: 0001. Nominal 70 Ton Air Cooled Screw Chiller Model Number
#RTAA070. Product Data: Nominal 70 Ton Air Cooled Helical Rotary
Chiller. 460 Volt/60Hertz/3Phase. Across the line starter. Standard 40
to 65 Degree "F" leaving chilled water setpoint. Aluminum condenser
coil fins. Factory installed coil guards. Factory installed evaporator
area access guard. Control power transformer. 2-5th year Replacement
Compressor Warranty. Start-up assistance. Deluxe control panel with
generic BMS Interface. Acceptance shall be made at destination. The
required delivery dates for the items listed above are 30 days after
receipt of order. The provisions at FAR 52.212.-1, Instructions To
Offers -- Commercial Items apply. Offerors are required to complete and
include a copy of the following provisions with their proposals: FAR
52.212-3, Offer Representation and Certifications -- Commercial Items.
Also, Buy American Act and Balance of Payments Program Certificate.
Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items,
applies. Addendum to FAR 52.212-4: Paragraph (o) Warranty -- Add:

252.225-7001, Buy American Act And Balance Of Payments Program. FAR
52.215-34,Evaluation Of Offers For Multiple Awards applies. The RFQ is
to be priced FOB "Destination" FAR 52.247-34." RFQ must be received no
later than 3:00 PM, Local Time, 15 January 1999. Offers sent via the US
Postal Service should be mailed to Supply Directorate, Contracting
Department, Supply MCAS, PSC Box 8018, Cherry Point, NC 28533-0018. All
RFQ's not sent through the US Mail will be considered to be hand
carried and direct delivered. Hand carried RFQ's must be delivered
directly to and placed in the depository located in Building 159, First
Floor, MCAS, Cherry Point, NC, Contracting Department. Direct delivery
of RFQ is only possible during weekdays, excluding Federal Holidays,
between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. As of 1 Oct 1997, all
contractors must be registered in the Central Registration (CCR)
Database as a condition of contract award. Contractors may register in
the CCR through the World Wide Web at http://www.acq.osd.mil/ec or
call the DOD Electronic Commerce Information Center at 1-800-334-3414.
