The facility is to consist of a nine (9) story structure housing a Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) facility, equipment repair shops, training areas and admin spaces. The work includes, but is not limited to: erection of a steel framed metal paneled control tower complete with an elevator and glassed in control cab, a steel framed brick/block/metal paneled single story structure of approximately 10,000 SF with HVAC, electrical and communication work, water and sewer systems, support pilings, fencing and parking lot for approximately 90 vehicles. All work to be in strict accordance with the plans and specifications for Project VGLZ 899650, "Replace Control Tower and RAPCON Center" at Selfridge Air National Guard Base, Michigan. The estimated magnitude of the proposed construction is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The performance period for construction is approximately 420 days.
