synopsis/solicitation issued as RFQ-910068B dated 11/24/98. The CBD
submission number for the original announcement is 274568. This
modification is being issued to include the following additional
information. The old description of the requirement read as follows: 32
Alphanumeric Digital Pagers. Price should include details related to
monthly service fee, any additional zone and/or regional fees, charges
for a personal 800 or 888 number with PIN and charges for personal 800
or 888 number without PIN. The following additional specifications of
this requirement include: 32 Local Alphanumeric Digital Pagers. 1. One
toll-free number with individual pins/numbers for numerical paging. 2.
One local phone number for numerical paging for each pager. 3. One
toll-free operator assisted alpha paging number with individual
pins/numbers for each pager. 4. Two Group pin numbers (16 pagers in
each group) with operator assisted alpha capabilities. 5. The option to
generate in -house alpha pages (computer dial up service). 6. All
pagers should have an extended North East Atlantic coverage. The actual
number of pagers may vary plus or minus the stated amount depending on
changing requirements during the term of the contract. Any resulting
contract would include an option provision to increase the number of
pagers over the term of the contract by up to 50% of the above stated
amount. Price evaluations are based on individual amounts and options
as proposed on a per pager basis. This modification also changes the
established response date and time as established in the original CBD
announcement to no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (EST)
