The USDA Forest Service requires Type III helicopter services for the Ketchikan and Stikine Areas of the Tongass National Forest, Alaska. Services needed consist of one exclusive use and one Call-When-Needed helicopter located in Ketchikan; and one exclusive use helicopter located in Wrangell, and one Call-When-Needed helicopter located in Petersburg, Alaska. The contract period will be one year with an option for an additional year period. The Forest Service will guarantee a minimum of 250 hours for the helicopters located in Ketchikan and 200 hours for the helicopter located in Wrangell during the availability period. Multiple awards are anticipated from this solicitation. Evaluation factors for award will include accident/flight safety; support capability; aircraft; flight crews; business practices; past performance; and price.
