The CECOM Acquisition Center intends to procure Air conditioners with a nominal cooling capacity of 36,000 British Thermal Units per Hour (BTUH).Horizontal 450 each and Vertical 50 each. The contract will be a Firm Fixed Price requirements contract with two ordering years. The estimated buy in the first year for the Horizontal Units is 150. This acquisition will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The required cooling capacity shall be 41,000 BTUH for Horizontal configuration and 37,00 BTUH for Vertical Configuration at 120 degrees F ambient temperature. The required heating capacity shall be 31,200 BTUH for Horizontal configuration and 28,600 BTUH for Vertical configuration. Input power supply shall be 208 volts, 3 phase, 50/60 Hz. The inrush current shall not exceed 45 amps for Horizontal configuration and 32 amps for vertical configuration (3-phase average). The weight of each unit with a full refrigerant charge and all ancillary equipment shall not exceed 435 pounds for Horizontal configuration and460 pounds for Vertical configuration. The refrigerant system shall be of the vapor-cycle type and furnished with a full charge of refrigerant conforming to ARI 700, R-22. The units are intended for use in cooling, dehumidifying, heating, filtering and circular air in military portable shelters or vans to meet equipment and personnel requirements. Units shall be designed and constructed in accordance with Purchase Description #4120-0116 and #4120-0117, which will be included in the solicitation package. It is anticipated that the solicitation package will be available on or about 4 Jan 1999.
