The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft division (NAWCAD) Patuxent River, MD has a sole source requirement for the upgrade of eight (8) each AlliedSignal, Inc. MARK VII GPWS units to the configuration of AlliedSignal Part Number 965-0636-003-B02-B02. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements, AlliedSignal, Inc. is the sole designer, developer and manufacturer of the MARK VII GPWS units and as such has the requisite knowledge to fulfill the requirement. Therefore, this acquisition shall be negotiated on a sole source basis with AlliedSignal, Inc., Redmond, Washington. It is anticipated that a firm-fixed price type Simplified Acquisition Procedure (SAP) order will be awarded with delivery to take place within three months from receipt of government furnished units. Final product will be shipped to the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Patuxent River Maryland. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency.
