announcement which appeared in the Commerce Business Daily on Thursday,
December 1, 1998 (Issue No. 275873) is hereby amended. The purpose of
this amendment is to add the following course description for each
class and starting date. a) leadership skills I -- (leadership styles,
motivation theory and application, creative problem solving, working
with others and providing feedback, workforce diversity -- valuing
differences, proactive vs reactive leaders, making a difference b)
leadership skills II (role of the coach, setting goals, delegating
properly, enabling employees to succeed, observing and measuring
performance, giving feedback -- corrective and positive, motivation and
morale, building trust c) introduction to teams (what makes a team?,
team roles and responsibilities, stages of team development,
communicating in a team environment, handling difficult team behaviors,
gathering data and solving problems as a team, team meeting skills, the
team project d) introduction to customer service -- (identifying the
internal and external customers, what is good service?, dealing with
difficult customers and suppliers, understanding the customer's needs,
action planning for improved customer service e)change management
concepts -- (reality check, change can cause, process of change, causes
of change, why people resist change, seeing the benefits of the change,
force field analysis, f) project management (project management: what
is it?, project life cycle, the parameters of the project, project
definition, planning the project, quality, time and cost of the
project, who's responsible?, implementing the project plan, controlling
the work, completing the project and evaluating results g)leadership

begin on or about January 4,1998. The resultant contract will be funded
only through 6/15/99 contingent upon availability of funds and/or a
full appropriation, and shall be performed only under the direction of
the contracting officer. Award of items will be in the aggregate and
to one vendor. This will be a firm fixed price requirements contract
with a base year and a one-year option. Telephone inquiries regarding
