Contract Specialist, (860) 285-7191 The U. S. Postal Service is
soliciting proposals to provide final design, labor, equipment, and
materials to perform catwalk additions at the Springfield Bulk Mail
Center at 190 Fiberloid St., Springfield, MA 01152. Work includes, but
is not limited to, structural steel, finishes, and painting. The
estimated cost of the work is between $75,000.00 and $150,000.00, with
completion within ninety (90) calendar days after receipt of notice to
proceed. Sealed offers will be received in this office prior to, but no
later than, 4:00 p.m. on January 5, 1999. Offers will not be publicly
opened. The number of offers received, the identity of the offerors,
the amount of any offer, or relative standing of the offerors WILL NOT
BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE until award of contract is made. Proposal
documents, plans and specifications will be available o/a December 4,
1998 at a cost of $15.00 per set (non-refundable) from the Facilities
Service Office, U. S. Postal Service, 6 Griffin Road North, Windsor, CT
06006-0300. The only acceptable means of payment will be certified
checks or money orders, made payable to the Disbursing Officer, U. S.
Postal Service (Reference Solicitation No. 082530-99-A-0039). Plans may
be inspected at the issuing office and information regarding their
availability may be obtained by contacting Catherine Delasco at (860)
285-7191. Questions concerning the technical aspects of the proposal

preproposal conference for this project. Prospective offerors are
encouraged to schedule a walk-through by contacting Mr. Tom Rosati,
Maintenance Manager, at (413) 785-6254. This is not a formal invitation
for bid; therefore, no bid bond or proposal guarantee is required,
althought the successful offeror will be required to pay Davis-Bacon
prevailing wage and provide a 100% performance and 50% payment bond
