Driscoll, Contract Specialist, 850-882-5628, Ext. 5270 Eglin AFB has a requirement to Repair HVAC in Building 44, Eglin AFB FL. This project includes furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials and performing all operation in connection with Repair of HVAC in Building 44, Eglin AFB FL. This is a "Best Value" Contract. Award will be made based upon the "Best Value" to the Government in accordance with FAR 15.3. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the low proposed price. Scope of Work: In general, the work will consist of removal of the existing HVAC equipment, ductwork, boiler, ceilings and electrical wiring. The demolition work will include asbestos removal. The new HVAC work shall include installing a new chiller, air handling units, VAV boxes, ductwork, boiler, piping, pumps and controls for a complete operational system. The new building systems shall be balanced and temporary cooling shall be provided during construction. Electrical upgrades shall include replacement of all existing distribution panels inside the building, except the main service disconnect. The new distribution equipment shall be wired to accommodate an existing generator and transfer switch. The building wiring shall be upgraded to accommodate the new air conditioning equipment. Performance period is 140 days. The above general description of work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, materials, and equipment complete in accordance with the plans and specifications.
