German, Contracting Officer, (202) 307-0613 The Office of Justice Programs intends to award a sole source purchase order to Battelle Edgewood Operations, 2012 Tollgate Road, Suite 206, BelAir, Maryland, 21015, to prepare two technical reports presenting a critical review of the relevant past and present blunt trauma research. Both reports will present reviews of models that predict probability of injury of blunt impact projectiles which will be a value to law enforcement. Battelle is uniquely qualified to conduct this research because they have already conducted similar research for the Department of Defense(DoD). They can use the DoD research as a base and build on it to add new models that have been developed and put all the information into a form that is useful to law enforcement and corrections officers. This purchase order will be negotiated under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 252(c)(1) -- Only One Responsible Source with Unique Capabilities. This is not a request for quotation.
