The Standard Industrial Code is 3429. The item to be procured is housing for socket caster f/ star bases for the UNICOR factory in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. The housings will be manufactured per the following specifications: Socket, Caster, .447" ID, .602" OD, 1.875"L* 1.875 Long 14GA, CRS to be used on BSE1751 Star Base .447/.457 inside diameter x .602 nominal outside diameter x 1.860/1.890 long 14gauge cold rolled steel, plain finish. Bid Samples are required on or before the proposal closing date and time. Contractors will send three samples to Dale Hoot, Quality Assurance Manager, USP Lewisburg, UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries, Route 5, William Penn Road, Lewisburg, PA 17837. Samples will be tested as follows: (1) Decimal Testing (2) Visual Testing Dimension 1. .452; 2..602 +.005/-.005; 3. 1.875 +.015/-.015. Finish: Rust Free/ Burr Free; Seam: Seam must not be welded, to be lightly oiled with a water soluable oil to prevent rusting.
