The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB FL, intends to award a contract for a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA). This is a contemplated sole source to Anritsu Company, 685 Jarvis Drive, Morgan Hill, CA 95037. The solicitation number for this announcement is F08651-99-T-0068 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The contractor shall provide a VNA that operates over the 100 Mhz to 40 GHz frequency range is required. This VNA must have a front panel display and controls for manual function entry along with a GPIB controller interface for computer control; preferably using LabVIEW drivers. The VNA must graphically display the results from the four "S-parameter" measurements (S11, S21, S12, S22). The formats of the graphical display must include log magnitude phase, Smith chart (impedance), Smith chart (admittance), linear magnitude, linear magnitude and phase, and SWR. This VNA must support testing of active and passive microwave and millimeter wave components. A high stablity (ovenized) time base with resolution greater than or equal to 1 Hz is also required. The VNA must have multiple source control to allow independent control of two sources and the receiver section for testing microwave and millimeter wave devices. Output connectors on the front panel should be coaxial over entire band (no waveguides). All components must be packaged in single chassis with a mass not to exceed 40 kilograms. A service manual must be supplied with the unit. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only RFQ. A written RFQ will not be issued. The Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC Code) for this acquisition is 3825 (500 Employees).
