The Bureau of Reclamation requirement previously advertised as 99-SP-30-12510 is now being acquired under a simplified acquisition procedure for commerical items. The new requirement will be for the furnishing and, if required, installation of one new core, and furnishing and installing one new generator armature winding, and an option to furnish and install an additional generator armature winding in fiscal year 2000. This will be a firm-fixed price contract with no incentives. Performance and payment bonds will be required on the installation work. The contract will be awarded based on the best value to the Government taking into consideration the evaluation factors listed in the solicitation. The presolicitation notice (SF-1417) for this project is currently available. The estimated issuance date of the solicitation is December 1, 1998. The estimated date for receipt of offers is January 11, 1999. For this acquisition the standard industrial classification code is 3621 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
