The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with five consecutive ordering periods. The minimum quantity is 69 each and the maximum quantity is 280. Applicable to CH-47 Engine. FOB Destination to Texarkana, TX. Required delivery is 23 each due 455 DACA and 23 each month thereafter until shipped complete. This procurement reuires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open compettion is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are: FAG Bearings, Ontario, Canada, MRC Bearings, Jamestown, NY and Boeing Helicopters, Ridley Park, PA. Only approved sources who have successfully completed therequired engineering test will be considered for award of this flight safety part. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source. Firms are encouraged to seek source approval in order to compete for future solicitations IAW the instructions contained in Section L of the solicitation.
