The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) seeks contractors to perform baseline physical inspections using hand-held computers and HUD's physical inspection software and protocol on multifamily insured and assisted properties. The contractors will manage the performance of inspections in three (3) separate geographic areas. The inspection information will be electronically transmitted to HUD's Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC) and automatically processed and analyzed to provide HUD with factual and verifiable scores. The solicitation will be available on or about December 7, 1998. The period of performance is one year with 2-one year options. Interested parties may obtain a copy of the solicitation by submitting a written request.
