Q -- HOME INFUSION THERAPY SERVICES SOL RFP525-31-99 DUE 010499 POC Marianne P. LeBlanc Contractor will be required to provide all material, equipment, labor, supervision and transportation in the delivery of Home Infusion Therapy Services to beneficiaries of the VA facilities located in VISN 1, which comprises Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The contractor will be required to be JCAHO accredited. Services include but not limited to providing antibiotics, TPN, PPN, enteral, chemotherapy in accordance with established VA protocols, stimulating colony factors, immunglobulin, pain management, catheter care, investigations drugs with VA oversight and hydration. Providers at to be PICC, Mid/Long Line certified and capable of placing lines at home when appropriate. Also, must be qualified to care for port-a-cath and central lines. Must provide 24 hour, 7 day a week Pharmacy and Nursing coverage. Contractor will deliver and set-up all equipment, medication and supplies to patient's home prior to the next schedule dose of medications after hospital discharge and re-supply as needed. Contractor will remove and dispose of bio-hazardous waste from patient homes in accordance with local, state and federal laws. Solicitation will be available on or about 11/30/98.
