The Government intends to issue an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Firm Fixed Price Type Contract with Four consecutive ordering periods. Required delivery for the first ordering period is 2,550 each 174 DACA and 2,600 each per month until completion. This solicitation, DAAH23-99-R-0029 replaces solicitation DAAH23-98-R-0271 that was published in the CBD on 30 Apr 98. This procurement requires prequalification. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency. Justification for other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Source or Only a Limited Number of Responsible Sources. This proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government does not have specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved source is: Allied Signal Inc., 111 S. 34th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2181. Only the approved source who has successfully completed the required engineering test will be considered for award of this flight safety part. The time required for approval of new supplies is such that award and delivery cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
