DACA67) This is a modification to the synopsis published on October
30,1998. The only change is to the sentence that begins with the words
"Jobs may also include..." This change is incorporated in the
description that follows this sentence. The Seattle District, Corps of
Engineers is soliciting proposals for multiple award, multi-year
contracts to perform non-personal services to provide for a broad range
of maintenance, repair and service work on real property at Ft. Lewis,
WA, its subinstallations and other western Washington facilities to
include Reserve Centers. Three indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity
contracts are anticipated to be awarded as a result of this
solicitation. As requirements develop, task orders will be issued on a
competitive or sole source basis for the awardees of this solicitation
at the Government's option. Each contract will include a base year and
four option periods. Maximum value of all work awarded under the
MATOCs will be limited to $5 million over the life of the contracts.
Individual task orders will vary in size, not-to-exceed $500,000. Jobs
may include trades such as carpentry, groundswork, minor painting,
roof repairs, equipment repair, road repair, excavation, electrical,
steam fitting, plumbing, HVAC, sheet metal, demolition, concrete
repair, masonry, welding, and custodial relating to repair and
maintenance work, such as, but not limited to, plumbing
repairs/services, electrical repairs/services, window replacement, tree
trimming and hydroseeding services. Jobs are for non-recurring services
and may also include troubleshooting and technical services such as
roof or electrical inspections. The contractor shall provide all
personnel, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, labor and
other items and services necessary to accomplish the job. Solicitation
will be available on or about 11 Dec 1998 at no charge per set. No
individual sheets are available. Documents will be issued on a
first-come, first-served basis until supply is exhausted. No phone
requests accepted. Refer to RFP Number DACA67-99-R- 0019 when ordering.
Requests MUST BE IN WRITING and be received before bid documents will
be mailed. Requests may be FAXed to (206)764-6817 or sent via e-mail to
plans-room-cenws-ct@usace.army.mil. An additional confirmation copy of
your request need not be mailed. Please be sure to include if you are
a Prime, Sub or Supplier. Specifications may be picked up from the
Plans Room Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30
PM. Submit requests by 30 Nov 1998. Standard Industrial Classification
Code is 8744. Project is 100% small business set-aside. A concern is
considered small business under this solicitation if its annual
receipts, averaged over the past three years do not exceed $20 million.
