The program will be nationwide. It will be necessary to establish a process for each site selected that will result in full implementation of the National Park Service's ( NPS) "Risk Management Program". It will be necessary to evaluate current park safety practices at each park selected to determine the best approach toward implementing the program. A report of each park implementation will be provided to NPS management, and follow-up visits will be required in some cases. It will also be necessary to conduct several employee workshops on these subjects. A knowledge of current theory and principles of risk management, along with knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of behavior-oriented approaches is required.
