New Program. Status: Market Survey is to be conducted, during which various samples of commercial footwear will be reviewed. no solicitation document exists. 2. Objective: To conduct a Market survey of commercially available footwear to be worn by Military Food Service Personnel. The footwear can be boots or shoes that have easy to clean water resistant black leather uppers, are non-slip on wet surfaces, with cushion insoles. Plain toes are preferable but not required. The footwear shall have a minimum Static Coefficient of Friction of 0.6 wet and dry when tested ont he Brungraber Mark II Slip Test. This footwear should be available in men's and women's sizes in a minimum of two widths, medium and wide. Safety toes that meet ANSI Z41 requirements for safety footwear may also be required. All interested firms should submit one pair of each type in a size 10 medium with technical data. These samples will not be returned. 3. The CBD announcement should be open to all potentially valid submittals from interested commercial contractors, including small business and set-aside companies. 4.
