Electro-Optical Viewing System (EVS), Signal Data converter (SDC) -- a
Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) for B052 Weapon System. Technical
Description: The EVS, SDC LRU performs the function of the Servo
Control Unit (SCU) Symbol signal Generator (SSG) and Video Distribution
Unit (VDU). It mounts in the present SCU position. It is conduction
cooled using compact heat exchangers and requires 220 Watts of power.
The motherboard layout consists of 10 circuit card slots with 6 VME
bussed slots and 4 general- purpose slots. It shall operate
continuously at temperatures from -55C to 55C, with intermittent
operation for up to 30 minutes at 71C. Note: Basically this is a first
time requirement for the manufacturing of the Electro-Optical Viewing
system from Government furnished data/drawings effort and will include
a First Article Requirement. Contractor Requirements: The contractor
must be able to meet the following requirements and shall have
demonstrated the ability to: 1. Manufacture complex electronic devices
from government furnished drawings and be able to commit to long term
depot level repair support. 2. Perform qualification testing to
include thermal, pressure altitude, humidity, vibration, shock and
explosive conditions. 3. Fabricate complex wiring harness from
government-furnished drawings. 4. Possess the ability to support the
security requirements of the contract as applicable. 5. Maintain
accountability of Government equipment assigned to the contract. 6.
Have the capability to receive, repair and ship deliverables produced
under contract as required. 7. Have capability to operate and maintain
automated test systems. Specifically, the An/USM-623(v)1, B-52 modular
Intermediate Depot Automatic Test Station (MIDATS) which will be
government furnished equipment for testing of the completed SDC unit.
After award, preliminary training in the operation of the test set may
be available at Tinker AFB OK. 8. Have the capability to comply with
ANSI/ASQC Q9002 or ISO 9002-1994. 9. Have the capabilities to
convertgovernment furnished data furnished in different media formats.
Media and formats are: schematics in Mentor Graphics 8.2 which are
editable and on 4mm cartridge; PWB Layout in Mentor Graphics 8.2 Gerber
which are non-editable and on 4mm cartridge; detail and assembly
drawings in. dxf and. txt formats; and additional detail and assembly
drawings in. pdf format which are on a CD and are not editable. Some
changes, most of which are minor need to be incorporated into the
drawings. Final delivery will be IGES and MIL-PRF- 28002, Type 4
(JEDMICS). (DI-DRPR-81000A) This will include one basic year and
possible option years. Estimated qty for basic year is 77 each. The
approximate issue/response date will be 01 DEC 1998. First article test
required. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed requests

be considered.
