The flashbords are used to inpound additional water for the summer months to support cadet summer training as well as supplement West Point's water supply. The four tilt gates are so designated to flip during flood conditions to control release of excess flood waters. Counerweights at +/-300 lbs ea allow return to impounding position upon adequate release of flood waters. The Quotation will be issued on or about 30 Oct 98, with a Site Visit being held on 12 Nov 98, commencing at 10:00 A.M. The Quotation is due back on or about 24 Nov 98.
