Tennant, Contracting Officer, (301)394-3439 This notice cancels solicitation DAAL01-97-R-9815, originally synopsized August 12,1997, for the acquisition of remedial and preventive hardware maintenance for a variety of minicomputer, workstation, printers, and data communication systems provided by a variety of vendors. This solicitation is being canceled because the Government did not receive a proposal that demonstrates a contractor can support software, including any OEM sponsored modifications or revisions at no additional cost for the duration of this contract. Where called for software covered shall include operating systems, compilers, and utility programs. Support shall include providing updates, revisions, and new versions, as well as, providing telephone call in support, services required in this solicitation. Deletion of this requirement through an amendment would be of such magnitude that a new solicitation is desirable. New solicitation is estimated to be released in late November.
