(NWS) office at Key West International Airport has a requirement for
upper air observations to be conducted at the Weather Service Contract
Meteorological Observatory (WSCMO), Key West International Airport,
Key West, FL. The prospective contractor shall be required to take,
document, and disseminate upper air rawinsonde observation soundings
two times daily, each and every day of the contract period. The
prospective contractor shall also be required to take, record, and
document special rawinsonde soundings in association with NWS
sanctioned field projects or critical meteorological events. The
prospective contractor shall also be required to take and document a
RAWIN-RABAL comparative observation, quarterly and after any major
repairs are done on the ART equipment. The upper air observations are
anticipated to be conducted for an initial base period of 12 months
with options to renew for two one-year periods. The Solicitation is
expected to be released on/about November 5, 1998 and proposals due
