Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service, Midwest Area, has the requirement for Laboratory Chemicals to be delivered on an as needed basis to the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR), Peoria, IL for the period December 1, 1998 (or date of award) thru November 30, 1999 with four (4) one-year renewable option periods. Delivery of approximately 88 chemicals to the NCAUR Storeroom on an as needed basis. NCAUR Storeroom personnel will place orders each week for the ordered chemicals in the grade, sizes, and quantities ordered to be delivered within seven (7) calendar days after receipt of the order. Payment will be made to the successful contractor on a monthly basis, in arrears, based on orders placed and chemicals received during the preceding month. This solicitation will be issued as a Commercial Items Request for Proposal in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 15. This acquisition is 100% Set-Aside for Small Businesses. The Standard Industrial Classification that applies is 2899 with a size standard of 500 employees. Solicitation No. 5114-9-3101 will be made available on or about October 26, 1998 with proposals to be received (anticipated) not later than 2:00 p.m. (CST) on November 17, 1998. Proposals will be evaluated based on price, past performance, and demonstration of having the technical ability to deliver the ordered chemicals on an as needed basis in the grade, quantity, and size required.
