a synopsis of a requirement for commercial services prepared in
accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemental with
additional information included in the notice. A written solicitation
will be issued upon request. This is a request for quotation (RFQ)
number DTCG80-99-Q-3FC709. This solicitation document will incorporate
provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition
Circular 97-06. The standard industrial classification code is 3731
and the size standard is 1000 employees. The requirement is for the
following: Contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment,
services, and competence to complete the following dockside services on
the USCGC SWEETGUM (WLB-309): 1. Replace bridge wing doors. 2. Clean
and inspect heat exchangers. 3. Clean and inspect reefer condensers. 4.
Anchor windlass motor and brake assembly overhaul. 5. Clean and inspect
fan assemblies and clean various ventilation ducting. 6. Replace galley
side-by-side reefer and refrigerator. 7. Renew and test port chain
stopper. 8. Modify topping lift bracket. 9. Provide temporary messing.
10. Provide temporary logistics. Place of Performance is USCG Base,
South Broad Street, Mobile AL. Performance period is January 11 --
February 7, 1999. Specifications to be provided on request. A
non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified
check of money order payable to the U. S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. The government will award a contract resulting from this
solicitation to the responsible offeror whose conforming to the
solicitation will be most advantageous to the government, price and
other factors considered. The following factors shall be used to
evaluate offer: Price, Required Delivery Date. The proposed contract
listed here will be awarded as part of the Small Business
