The Department of the Navy is developing requirements for the procurement and installation of additional AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning Sets (MWS) for production efforts and associated materials necessary to fulfil USN, USAF and FMS requirements. The MWS is a passive, missile approach warning system consisting of four sensor assemblies, a central processor unit and a control indicator. The AN/AAR-47 is used on USN/USMC, USAF, USA, and FMS helicopters and fixed wing aircraft. The estimated quantity is 250 systems for the base year and a maximum of 250 systems for each of the two following option years. The contractor shall fabricate and test the AN/AAR-47 MWS components in accordance with the level 3 drawing package reflecting the Physical Configuration Audit completed 02 September 1993 for the AN/AAR-47 system, the Physical Configuration Audit completed 20 September 1994 for the Low Voltage Power Supply SRA, and the Statement of Work (SOW), dated 02 June 1995. The estimated cost of this procurement is $56,000,000.
