16 -- NAVY COMMON SOFTWARE FOR THE AVS/7 HEADS UP DISPLAY DUE 100998 POC Mr. Tom Semones, Contract Specialist, (301) 342-1825 extension 129 E-MAIL: SemonesTM@navair.navy.mil, SemonesTM@navair.navy.mil. The Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division, Patuxent River, Maryland intends to procure on a sole source basis with Tracor Aerospace, Incorporated, 6500 Tracor Lane, Austin, TX 78725-2070 the following: 1) Navy approved common software, P/N PR735C01M, which will be loaded into CH-46 Signal Data Converters (SDC) contained in the AVS/7 Heads Up Display (HUD); 2) software and hardware version labels, P/N 18507A-00 and 18506A-00, respectively; 3) equipment testing via Built-in-Test (BIT) procedures; and 4) data. Tracor is the original designer, manufacturer, and sole owner of proprietary data for these supplies and the only firm that possesses the unique technical data necessary to perform this effort. This requirement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
