This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This acquisition is being made under the Test Program for Certain Commercial Items described in FAR 13.5. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is CS-I-98-018 and is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05, as incorporated in the FAR issued in June 1998. The standard industrial classification code for this acquisition is 7415, with a small business standard of $18.5 million. This contract will be awarded as an indefinite delivery -- indefinite quantity contract with firm fixed prices. The minimum number of vehicles required is 15; the maximum number of vehicles required is 20. This RFQ will result in the award of contract(s) for the provision and delivery of a minimum of 15 leased vehicles, on a corporate lease, for a period of twelve months. The lease shall include the requirement that vehicles may be exchanged, during the term of this lease, on an as needed basis. The replacement vehicles must be provided within 7 days of request to replace vehicle. Contractor will maintain license plates registered to the contractor. Lease shall include at least 2,500 miles per month at no additional charge. Quotation shall state additional monthly mileage allowance over the 2,500 miles. Type of vehicles requested are late model (1998/1999) compact, mid-size sedan, pick up trucks, sport utility vehicles, and vans. Quotation shall include a variety of vehicles. Delivery shall be FOB Midland, Texas. If replacement vehicles are required, no additional delivery charges should be included if exchange is also in Midland, Texas.Quotation should include vehicles that will be available by October 8, 1998. However, a contractor may propose a different delivery time without being prejudiced during award.
