R -- FINGERPRINT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES SOL USSS98Q095 DUE 092898 POC April Delancy, (202)435-7174; Kathy Wilson (202)435-6940 This is a combined solicitation/synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number USSS98Q095 is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). All references of "offerors" are understood to be "quotations". The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The SIC code is 7381, and the small business size standard is $9M. The U.S. Secret Service has a requirement for fingerprint development using Secret Service established protocol, and the comparison and identifications of latent prints on an as needed basis. Each assignment shall be completed within three hours. The workstation, along with all necessary supplies and equipmentwill be provided by the U.S. Secret Service. The contractor will be utilized on an "as needed" basis to supplement the existing staff efforts in handling heavy workloads. Work hours will be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Service will begin on or about 10/01/98 through 9/30/98 on an as needed basis. Location will be the U.S. Secret Service, 1800 G St. NW, Washington, DC 20223. The eventual contractor shall have a minimum of ten (10) years experience and shall be able to pass a full top secret clearance. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract to the offer whose proposal, conforming to the specification will be the most price advantageous to the Government. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the USSS. Please note price quotes by a fax transmission will not be accepted. All responsible offerors shall mail quotes to the U.S. Secret Service, Procurement Division, 1310 L Street NW, Suite 730, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: April Delancy; no later than 3:00pm, Monday, September 28, 1998. No facsimile or electronic responses, including e-mail will be accepted. Award is anticipated within thirty (30) days of receipt of proposals.
