The Maintenance and Logisitic Command, Pacific is proposing a contract for the dockside repairs of the USCGC TYBEE. The work will be performed at the cutter's pier side homemoorage in San Diego, CA. The performance period for this contract begins 25 January 1999 and ends 19 February 1999. The major work items include and not limited to underwater body inspection, diver; potable water tank cleaning and inspection; heat exchanger cleaning and testing; electric motor overhaul; electric meter calibration; fathometer transducer replacement; cleaning and calibration of pressure, thermometer, and tachometer gauges; brominator installation; rhib davit inspection and weight test; grey water piping cleaning and inspection and carpet renewal. The solicitation will be issued 19 October 1998 under the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
