Tactical Truck Extended Service Program (HEMTT ESP) is a remanufacture
and upgrade of existing HEMTT vehicles to include enhancements that
focus on improving the vehicles maintainability, reliability, safety,
and EPA/DOT compliance (while maintaining the current HEMTT performance
capabilities). Enclosure 2 is the Original equipment Manufacturer's
description of each system. The government does not own a technical
data package for the HEMTT since it was procured as a non-developmental
item. A sample of notable enhancements expected to be included in the
performance specification includes the list below. This is not a
complete and comprehensive list, but instead a sample of some of the
more significant changes and the type of enhancements the can be
expected to be incorporated as part of the remanufacture process for
HEMTT ESP; 1. Upgrade engine to meet current on-road emission
requirements; 2. Change from 2-speed transfer case to a single speed
transfer case; 3. Maximize use of lube for life; 4. Upgrade alternator
output; 5. More ergonomic seating; 6. Incorporate J1939 data bus and
embedded diagnostics; 7. Add LED lighting throughout and Halogen
headlights; 8. Add two piece bolt-together wheel and tubeless tires; 9.
Maximize corrosion protection through replacing current sheet metal
with galvanized; 10. Air conditioning added in cab. To view the entire
