Delivery-Requirements Type Simplified Acquisition (Supplies) pursuant
to FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items,
utilizing FAR Parts 12 and 13 procedures. The acquisition shall be for
a base period, effective from date of award (approximately September
25, 1998) through September 30, 1999, and four one year option periods.
The items to be provided thereunder are High Efficiency Standard
Radiobeacon Antenna Systems which are used to radiate low and medium
frequency radiobeacon aids to navigation signals in the 285 to 325 khx
band, which facilitates aids to navigation for the U.S. Armed Forces,
maritime commerce and air commerce. The antenna systems shall be
Valcom V33070CL2 or equivalent, and shall meet or exceed the following:
Frequency Range = 285 to 325 khz, MF Marine Band; Antenna Resistance =
2 to 30 ohms, which is the range of the antenna tuning unit; and
Antenna Capacitance = Compatible with existing Southern Avionics
Corporation equipment. The estimated quantity of antenna systems to be
ordered during the term of the acquisition is 25 sets. Delivery
destinations shall be within the 50 United States and its possessions.
The applicable SIC Code is 3663, with 750 employees or less. The
Request for Quotations (RFQ) will be issued on September 14, 1998.
