Lawrence, Contract Negotiator, (202) 219-6445, Phyllis R. McMeekin,
Contracting Officer The Department of Labor is seeking a contractor to
provide Pascal to C conversion services. The work required is to
translate Microsoft Pascal 4.0 source code, with all of its extensions,
into C source code using an automatic translator. The C source code
that is output from the translator must compile under Visual C++ 5.0 to
create a Visual C++ console application. The translator must be
specific to Microsoft Pascal 4.0; a translator for standard Pascal or
another dialect of Pascal is not sufficient. The resulting C code must
be readable and maintainable. The resulting C code must compile into
an application that is at least as fast as the Microsoft Pascal 4.0
application from which it is derived. The translator itself must run on
a PC running Windows 95, although the translator can run in DOS under
Windows 95. Please provide a capabilities statement on or before the
specified due date to the Department at the above address. No
solicitation document is available at this time. Posted 09/10/98
