THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This combined synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-05. Although this requirement is anticipated to be awarded under full and open competition; the U.S. Department of Energy, Albuquerque Operations Office (DOE/AL) reserves the right to award on a 100% Small Business Set-Aside utilizing the Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 5099 with a corresponding qualifying size standard of 100 employees (indicates maximum allowed for a concern, including its affiliates, to be considered small). Offerors responding should indicate whether or not they are small business, small woman-owned business, small disadvantaged business or 8(a). The DOE-AL intends to purchase the following one (1) line item: Item 1 -- 1 Lot (equal to 96,000 rounds), "HI-SHOK Jacketed Hollow Point" .45 Caliber Ammunition, 185 grain. Delivery for the item shall be made no later than 30 days after receipt of order.
