POC Contract Specialist -- Christopher Murphy, (413) 253-8235 The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to negotiate a contract for Event coordination services for celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Hunter Education at the International Hunter Education Conference being hosted by the New York Department of Environmental Conservation, Sportmen's Education Program, June 2-7, 1999 in Buffalo, New York. Contractor will work with the USFWS, NYDEC, and the steering committee to complete the following: Administrative work, Budget and finances, site review-selection-management, exhibition, speakers, registration/manage volunteer staff, promotion, fund-raising and meeting evaluation. Negotiations will be held with HK Project Management of Amissville, VA., under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract as a result of the negotiations. No solicitation is available, however, interested firms may submit a written statement of their capabilities to perform these services within fifteen (15) days of publication of this notice.
