70 -- OCTOBER 1, 1998, OPEN HOUSE ON CORE FINANCIAL SYSTEMS The Chief Financial Officers' (CFO) Council, Financial Systems Committee and the Joint Financial Management Improvement Program (JFMIP) are hosting a forum to share information with government and industry regarding ongoing efforts to improve Federal financial systems requirements, testing and certification process, and knowledge base. The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 1, 1998, in the General Services Administration Auditorium, 1800 F Street, NW, Washington, DC, from 8:00 AM until Noon. This event is part of an ongoing process to share information and generate suggestions on the best manner for testing financial software that is both efficient and cost effective for both the Government and vendors.
