B -- GENERATION OF PESTICIDE ENFORCEMENT DATA SOL RFQ030DTJ DUE 091498 POC Denise Jones, Contracting Officer 215/814-5195 US Environmental Protection Agency intends to acquire on a non-competitive basis, the generation of data related to the use of agricultural pesticides in tandem with plasticulture technology on the Eastern Shore, Virginia, More specifically, the data will be used by the Agency to evaluate if risks to marine life exist, specifically to clam larvae when agricultural pesticides are used in conjunction with plasticulture, even when used according to label directions. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) FAR 13. The EPA intends to acquire this service from the Virginia Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services VDACS, P.O. Box 1163-Room 401, Richmond, VA 23218. VDACS is the only known vendor capable of this service because they, as the agency duly authorized to enforce pesticide regulations in VA and as a part of that responsibility generates and maintain pesticide enforcement data. Award date is anticipated on or near September 22, 1998. No Request for Quotation is available. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code 8732,$5.0 will be used for this requirement. This is Not A Small Business Set-A-Side. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations.
