MANAGING A BUSINESS WITH ACCOUNTABILITY -- COURSE FOR BIZ OWNERS FOCUSED ON GROWTH WHAT: "Managing a Business With Accountability (MBWA)" presented by the National Women's Business Center, Inc. (WBC) WHEN: start date is September 28, 1998. classes meet in the evenings from 6pm-9pm, every week except holidays. WHERE: WBC offices, 1250 24th Street NW, Suite 350, Washington, DC 20037. closest metro is Foggy Bottom WHO: MBWA is for experienced women business owners who have been in business full-time for approximately one to five years and are looking to grow their businesses. Consistent interaction between participants is a very important dynamic in this program. Interested candidates are required to go through a personal interview process to determine the appropriate level of training. WBC offers many classes for women in business. PROGRAM SUMMARY: A 25 session course. Curriculum focuses on strategic business planning, financial management, marketing planning, sales, business law and contracts, business presentations, and incorporates peer group and mentoring support. MBWA is only offered twice per year. Class size is limited to 15 women. The MBWA class is assigned a small group of mentors, who provide members with inside access to more experienced business owners throughout the duration of the program. All instructors and mentors are successful entrepreneurs or professionals who work with small business owners on a daily basis. TUITION: The tuition for the Managing a Business with Accountability course is $550. Payments can be made in installments. Some scholarship assistance is available.
