REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: SOLICITATION OF IDEAS FOR THE UNCONVENTIONAL INNOVATIONS PROGRAM The Unconventional Innovations Program (UIP) will implement a new approach to funding the development of high impact, long range technologies to support cancer research. The UIP will focus on the development of technology platforms that can couple the relatively non-invasive sensing and signaling of specific molecular alterations in patients with capabilities for controlled and monitorable intervention specific for these molecular alterations. At this time NCI is soliciting ideas from researchers that will contribute to the general scope of a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) to be issued in late 1998 or early 1999.
