COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF SEPTEMBER 4,1998 PSA#2174EXTEND PERFORMANCE PERIOD OF EXISTING CONSTRUCTION QUALITY MANAGEMENT
CONTRACT #263-93-C-0407 It is the intent of the National Institutes of
Health to award a sole source four (4) year extension to an ongoing
Construction Quality Management (CQM) contract to Hill International,
Inc. to provide CQM services for the extended Construction Phases in
accordance with the existing contract scope. The extension and
continuance of this CQM contract with the existing firm who has
extensive knowledge of NIH Bethesda campus underground utilities and
power plant facilities is considered vital to the successful completion
of the critical, ongoing site utility infrastructure program. Services
will consist of complete construction services to include full-time,
on-site personnel for the remaining duration of the construction. The
original CQM scope stated "the Infrastructure Modernization Program
(IMP) is a group of projects developed to improve the conditions of
major utility distribution systems, including chilled water,
refrigeration, steam and condensate." The program has implemented
design and construction projects and is currently in the construction
and post construction phases. The (IMP) consists of twelve (12) main
utility and distribution system improvement projects; the final three
(3) construction projects have been awarded and are currently being
