Kelly (732) 323-7437 FAX (732) 323-4069 THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for Commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. (i) This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. (ii) This solicitation number N68335-98-Q-8223-0214 is issued as a competitive request for proposal (RFP). (iii) The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-03. (iv) This solicitation is a small business set aside. SIC is 2310. (v) Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINS) are as follows: CLIN 0001 Preventative Maintenance for 157 vehicles in accordance with the following: The Preventive Maintenance must be performed every 6 months. The company must be within 4 miles of Naval Air Engineering Station, Lakehurst. Preventive Maintenance checklist. 1. Check air filters, replace if needed. 2. Check hoses and belts. 3. Check all lights. 4. Check exhaust system. 5. Lube all hinges. 6. Inflate tires to proper pressure. 7. Repack wheel bearings at 12,000 miles. 8. Rotate tires. 9. Clean and service battery. A list of vehicle make, model amd year will be provided upon request. Any additional work found to be necessary during preventive maintanence requires notification to NAEC Lakehurst. POC for notification will be provided on resultant contract. "Company must give NAEC number one priority." (ix) FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items is incorporated by reference.
