The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Detroit, Michigan intends to negotiate with ISH, West Orange, NJ, to provide implementation services relative to Sterile Processing as follows: Review day-to-day operational activities; Training and educations of Sterile Processing and Surgical Staff; Review business processes and make recommendations; Implement Instrument Asset Management System (if required), Enhance sterilization, infection control, and quality assurance initiatives; review, revise, and validate Sterile Processing policies and procedures. Additional initiatives include the development of a cost effective operational model and leveraging the use of information technology. Interested parties capable of providing Sterile Processing and Operating Room Program Implementation Services are invited to submit in writing sufficient information which demonstrates the ability to fulfill this requirement. Response shall include descriptive literature sufficient to show capability, a point of contract (name and telephone number)and if applicable, GSA Contract number. Vendors are advised that they are not restricted in what information is submitted as long as sufficient material is provided to allow proper evaluation of capability. No solicitation has been issued.
