891-5079 This project entails decommissioning of approximately 3 miles
of road in the Trout Lake Creek watershed. The purpose of this project
is to restore hydrologic function of hillsloopes and reduce sediment
production from the road prism. Actual work will entail removal of all
culverts, pull-back of fill material from stream channels, unstable
areas, and selected portions of the road length, scarification of the
road surface, waterbarring, and blocking the roads to vehicular access.
Actual number of miles and specific roads to be decommissioned will
depend upoon the cost per mile incurred during decommissioning. This
work is in the Mt. Adams Ranger District. The estimated start work date
is June 1, 1999. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation
(FAR) 5.102(a)(1) Availability of Solicitation, a limited number of
solicitation packages (25) will be available on a first-come,
