COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF AUGUST 31,1998 PSA#2170SUPPLIER REGISTRATIONS SOUGHT ON INTERNET DATABASE The United States
Postal Service has placed in service an Internet based supplier
registration system. The Supplier Automated Database on the Internet
(SADI) is available to anyone desiring to sell supplies and/or services
to Postal facilities around the country. The completion of the profile
is a three step process. In step one we request that you tell us a how
to contact you and provide basic information about your firm. In step
two you are asked to define what you sell. In step three you are asked
to tell us what geographic area you service. The Postal Service makes
no guarantee that your registering will result in contracts with, or
purchases from your firm. We will, however, be promoting SADI as a
sourcing tool among our 1000 plus staff of professional buyers and our
18,000 credit card holders. The only cost to you is about ten minutes
of your time which could prove to be beneficial to your firm. To
access, point your browser to our award winning Web Site at:
http://www.usps.com Click on '1Business11, then on 'Selling to the
USPS". From this page, you can access SADI, as well as other
information designed to help you do business with the Postal Service.
