Pitts, Contracting Officer, (520)295-6113 The 162nd Fighter Wing of The Arizona Air National Guard, Tucson, AZ, is seeking sources for a protective cover, sunshade, to be used for parking and washing aircraft. The interior clearance is to be 55 ft wide, by 65 ft long, by 22 ft high. Construction will be open steel framework with 3 lb PSF framing load minimum, roofing will be reinforced fabric mesh with 80 percent shading having a minimum 5 year life expectancy. The roofing will offer 12 lb live load capacity. The floor is an existing reinforced concrete pad and the supporting posts (on the 65 ft sides) will be bolted with 3/4 in Hilti chemical anchors using a minimum of 7 in embedment. The framing requires a 15 year life expectancy. The cover/sunshade is required to withstand a sustained 70 mph wind. All requests for the bid documents must be in writing.
