SOL WASC8-1748 POC Randall Brown (206) 526-6226/FAX (206) 526-6025 Notice of intent to negotiate a sole-source contract with Marriott Suites-Downtown San Diego. Contract to be negotiated for the International Trade Administration (ITA) in San Francisco, CA. Purpose of contract is to reserve 195 sleeping rooms for four (4) nights during period 11/2/98 -- 11/5/98. Rooms must be equipped with work space, data/modem line, and business traveler amenities. Facility must also be in close proximity to the downtown area, San Diego International Airport and in close proximity to public transportation. Facility accommodations must also include breakout rooms (14) with 12-25 person capacity, meeting rooms (2) with 25-50 person capacity, and a general session room with 200-person capacity. Survey of the large hotels in the San Diego area close to airport/downtown area/public transportation indicates that Downtown Marriott Suites only hotel with suitable lodging and meeting rooms.
