J -- MAINTENANCE FOR SECURITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POC Mr. Lee J. Spicher, Contract Specialist (410) 786-8919 The Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) intends to award a small purchase order, on a Sole Source basis, with Security Technologies Group (STG), for maintenance service of HCFA's integrated security management system to insure 24 hour operation at HCFA's main facility. STG currently provides maintenance services on HCFA's existing security management system which is to be maintained under the proposed purchase order. The existing systems peripherals are proprietary to STG and are unavailable to other vendors. Other than full and open competition is required to obtain the required security system maintenance because only STG possesses exclusive rights, data, knowledge and expertise to provide the above services to the existing system. The maintenance period will be for one year. If there are no affirmative written responses received within 15 days that demonstrate a comparable source more advantageous to the Government, HCFA will proceed with awarding a purchase order to STG.
