The government intends to procure the following requirement as a sole source acquisition for SIRSI Corporation, 689 Discovery Dr, Huntsville Alabama 35806, under the authority FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements (Proprietary Software). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures Threshold. The contract will be awarded by oral quotation and the anticipated award date is 31 OCT 98. The proposed contract action is for the renewal of miscellaneous software and IBM hardware support for a period of year beginning 01 Oct 98 -- 30 Sep 99: Bibliographic and Inventory Control, Enhanced Public Access, Circulation Control, Workstation Licenses (8) and IBM RS/6000 Model 220 Host Computer. All responsible sources shall submit information, which clearly demonstrates their ability to provide this item.
