This item is being purchased in support of the National Weather Service repair program. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1). The Government knows of only one qualified manufacturing source authorized to provide the item referenced. The Government does not have specifications and drawings as the item is proprietary to the original manufacturer. The spares will be delivered to the National Weather Service, Kansas City, on an FOB Destination basis. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this announcement will normally be considered solely for the purpose of conducting a competitive procurement. If no qualified responses are received, the Government intends to contract with Deltec Corporation for the item required. Interested parties shall submit in writing; their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, and point of contact for a business or other government agency for which it has previously manufactured or provided the item.
